Who is Acoustic Hypnotherapy?

Welcome, I’m Neal.

If you’re here, there’s a part of you that’s ready for something to change—and you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I provide trauma-informed and neurodivergent-informed hypnotherapy and coaching in a space built on safety, respect, and genuine human connection. Many of the patterns we struggle with—anxiety, habits, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm—are not flaws. They are adaptations. Together, we gently begin to understand them, soften them, and create new ways forward.

My approach blends trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming care with Ericksonian hypnosis and Adlerian principles. That means our work is collaborative, never forced, and always centered around your pace, your needs, and your sense of safety. Through this process, you can begin to reconnect with a deeper sense of calm, rediscover your inner strengths, and build a more meaningful, aligned life.

I bring over 30 years of experience in the medical field as a Respiratory Therapist, along with service in the U.S. Army, including deployment during Desert Storm. In high-stress, life-and-death moments, I saw how fear and the nervous system directly impact the body—and how quickly things can shift when a person feels safe again. That understanding is at the heart of everything I do.

My path, like many, has included challenges, setbacks, and rebuilding. Those experiences allow me to sit with you not as someone “above” you, but as someone who understands what it means to work through difficult chapters and come out stronger, clearer, and more grounded.

I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Peer Specialist, and Peer Recovery Coach, with training in DBT, CBT, NLP, REBT, MRT, sound therapy, Reiki, and meditation. I also integrate polyvagal-informed techniques to support nervous system regulation and lasting change. As an ordained minister, I offer spiritual counseling and proudly provide LGBTQ+ affirming care.

Whether you’re looking to reduce anxiety, break free from old patterns, process past experiences, or simply feel more like yourself again, this work is about helping you reconnect—with safety, with clarity, and with who you truly are.

We work together as part of your overall care, alongside any medical or mental health support you may already have. This is not a replacement for medical care, but a powerful complement that supports healing from the inside out.

I’m also a father and grandfather—roles that continue to deepen my appreciation for connection, patience, and what it means to be human.

If you’re ready, I’m here to walk alongside you.
